Green Toys Review

Wednesday, January 13, 2010 2

I have heard about Green Toys  on other blogs and  have heard great things about their products. So, I was so excited when Green Toys gave me the opportunity to review their Green Toys Dish Set myself.

I fully intended to have my niece help me with this review but when L.C my eight year old saw them, he insisted on keeping them for himself. To tell you the truth, I was honestly a little shocked by that but he seems to enjoy them.

He has been playing with them and using them for real food, the small bowls are a perfect size for  his Ice Cream and cereal. They are  light but sturdy, and come in four great pastel colors. You may be thinking that I shouldn't be letting my son eat from from plastic toy dishes, it may not be food safe. Normally I would agree but... one of the great things about this set is that it is  safe for food.

That is because Green Toys products are tested by nationally recognized, independent, third-party labs.  They contain no traceable amounts of Phthalates or BPA. They are also designed without any external coatings, eliminating the fear of chipping lead paint.

 About the Company from GreenToys.com

"Green Toys Inc. is a California based toy company that makes classic toys constructed from recycled plastic and other environmentally friendly materials. All Green Toys products are 100% made in the USA. To be more specific, they are produced in California, a state known for strict toy safety and environmental laws. It's cool to buy USA, but also think about this: transportation is one of the biggest contributors to greenhouse gasses. We all know driving less is good for mother nature, but did you ever think about how many miles a toy logs before it ends up in your local store?
Our toys are truly local creations. Every step in the process, from milk container recycling to toy production to final assembly, occurs in California. Our raw materials and toys aren't shipped from overseas, which saves a lot of energy and reduces greenhouse gasses. It also guarantees your toys won't get seasick before they get to your home!

Green Toys environmental mission even extends to our packaging. We strive to minimize packaging, and all of our boxes use as little material as possible. All Green Toys products are packaged in recycled corrugated boxes with no plastics, cellophane or twist-ties, and are 100% recyclable. So, not only are they earth-friendly and ready for your recycling bin, they are really easy to open for those little fingers just itching to get at the toys!!"

Challenge & Fun- Tinti Bathwater Colors

Monday, November 30, 2009 44

My children love taking baths; I swear they would live in the tub if I let them. Therefore, when Challenge & Fun offered me a chance to review Tinti Bathwater Colors for my children, I could not pass up the opportunity.

When the box arrived they immediately began annoying me begging for their bath, they couldn't wait to try out these little tub tints. I finally caved in and granted them their request.

We decided to go with the blue tablet, when we dropped it into the tub it began to bubble and fizz, it slowly begun to change the water a shade of blue. They must have stayed in the tub for at least 45 minutes and the color stayed fresh and didn't fade.
