You may have noticed that I have been drastically falling behind, not only in getting Reviews and giveaways posted but in drawing winners. I was trying to bring you at least one new giveaway every day and running them for 2 weeks each to give you enough time to enter. There is so much going on in my life right now that it has really taking a toll on me.
So, until I get everything caught up and I am back on track, giveaways will now end on Fridays. That will give me all day Saturday to draw and notify the winners. I am also going to be cutting back a little on the amount of giveaways posted during this time; So I can catch up on some of the Reviews. Don't worry though, things will be back on track shortly... even if it kills me.

Student of the Month!
Friday, February 26, 2010

I am so proud of L.C that I have to! He has been selected as the February Student of the month at his elementary school! They surprised him with a special breakfast of donuts and juice and presented him with a badge this morning.
He was really behind when he came to this school; They have way higher standards than the one he attended previously that he never seemed to be able to catch up. That was just over a year ago, and now he is getting A's and B's!

I have been so busy this week... yet I still feel as if I have accomplished nothing. That is why this week all of my quotes are about being busy.
“No matter how busy you may think you are, you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance.”-Confucius
“Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans”- John Lennon

Making a few changes and would love some feedback
There will be a few changes the next couple days, I will be purchasing my own domain, and changing the layout. I will also be adding a way for you to subscribe by email, so you will not miss any giveaways.
I am also contemplating changing the name to something a little more interesting. My only problem with that is... it is almost like starting over. Since, I had no idea when I started this blog how many people would be reading, I just kinda threw up a name.

5 Cheap Valentine's Day Dates
Thursday, February 11, 2010
5
Dating when money is tight can be challenging especially on Valentine's day. You do not want to look like a cheapskate but Valentine's Day shouldn't be about what you spend. It is about showing your partner how much you care.
Here are 5 traditional ideas to get you started...
1. Movie night: Rent a couple romantic movies, grab some of your honey's favorite movie theater goodies (Twizzlers, Raisinets,Milk duds etc.) Pop some popcorn and enjoy the show. If you have a Redbox in your area you can rent a movie for a dollar or check online to get free Redbox codes. If you would rather go out to watch a movie why not check to see if there is a drive-in in your area. The admission is cheaper and you can bring in your own snacks and beverages to save even more money. To check if there is a drive-in in your area click here.
2. Play a game together : Maybe one of your favorite board games growing up or A treasure hunt- Hide clues around the house and let your partner play until he or she finds their Valentine’s gift.
3. Have a indoor picnic: Spread out a blanket and turn off the phone and T.V etc. and just enjoy some time together without all the modern distractions.
4. A Homemade Romantic Dinner for Valentine’s Day: Valentine's Day is a great opportunity to show your true feelings with a romantic date. If you both love to cook try something new together, or make his or hers favorite meal. Put on a nice tablecloth, candles, pop open an inexpensive bottle of wine and set some mood setting music.

Show them that you love them with a message from the heart
Tuesday, February 9, 2010

Are you looking for an inexpensive way to say I love you this Valentine's Day? The most thoughtful and inexpensive present that can be given to the one you love is a love letter. Your true feelings can be better expressed by putting them down in words.
There is only really one requirement in writing a love note, it only needs to be sincere. It doe not have to be a novel, it can be as simple as I love you.
Here are a few ideas to help you get started...
- The world has been a more interesting place since I met you.
- Love is not settling for someone you can live with, it is finding that someone that you can not live without. I am glad I found you.
- To the world you may just be another person but to me you are the world!
- I never believed in Fairytales until I met you, you are my happily ever after.
- In the warmth of your smile, I feel my love. In your eyes, I can see my dreams. in you sweet embrace,I found my world. You are everything to me.
- You are my first thought in the morning, the last thought before I fall asleep and I am thinking of you every moment in between.
- Sh'teme, Ik Hou Van Jou, Mahal Kita, Ich Liebe Dich, I love you.... No matter how many different ways there is to say I love you, there is not enough for me to express how much I truly love you
Now that you have written your note, now it is time to have fun with the presentation.
You can leave your love notes on his or her pillow
On their windshield
Packed inside thier lunch
Place it a bottle for them to find and open
Say it on a Screensaver or create your own desktop background
Tuck your note in a balloon
By TEXT
The possibilities are endless, have fun.

Rethink What Matters
Friday, January 22, 2010

Rethink what a revolution looks like, from going bare in public to what freedom feels like. Bare Escentuals, the mineral makeup pioneer, invites you to shake up that foundation and sound off on topics that are more than just skin-deep with their new campaign, Rethink What Matters.
Every week at RethinkWhatMatters.com, a new discussion topic will be featured with five questions for you to answer and share with your friends by email, Facebook and Twitter. What’s in it for you? Well, good karma for one. And free products and other fantastic goodies. Plus for a few really lucky ladies, an even bigger reward that will definitely make rethinking worth your while.
This weeks discussion is all about going bare in public.
What an interesting topic for sure!
It looks like I am in the minority of people that believe that life is better in the buff! What are your thoughts on going bare in public?

Giveaway winners that have not received their prizes.
Monday, January 11, 2010

I have received a few emails from winners of my birthday bash giveaways, that still have not received their prizes. If you have not received your prizes and have not emailed me please do so. This is absolutely unacceptable and inexcusable, I will try my best to get these issues resolved.
Please understand that some of these companies have been swamped with holiday orders and mistakes happen. To simply not follow through is another thing, I spent a lot of time writing the posts, promoting the giveaways, choosing winners and collecting their info etc. for any company to not follow through on their end is a huge blow.
*Update 01/16/10* I believe that AmyLynn the winner of the Posh Little Tutu's giveaway is the only person that has still not received their prize. I want to personally apologize to you, I know that you were really looking forward to giving this prize as a Christmas gift. Here it is the Middle of January and the sponsor is still playing games.

Hell has frozen over...Bret the Hitman Hart returns!
Sunday, January 3, 2010

"As unperceivable as it may be, the new decade kicks off with perhaps the biggest announcement in WWE history: Bret is back."
I am so excited, tomorrow night 01/04/10 Bret the Hitman Hart makes his WWE return! (I know that this may not be news to some, I am a little behind on my wrestling.)
I have loved wrestling every since I was a little girl but the over the last few years I have slowly lost interest. It is not that I do not like some of the talent the company has now, they have some serious eyecandy (John Cena, Randy Ortan, Batista) but the story lines have been dull and the lack of competition as turned my once favorite show, into a mere shell of what it once was. But...With the true pink and black returning to WWE programming Monday night for the first time in 12 years, my hopes are high that this will be a turning point and rejuvenate the industry which once I was a fan.
On a side note Hulk Hogan will be making his own return tomorrow night, not to the company that made him but to the competition Tna. They will be going head to head with WWE for the very first time. I am fairly interested in how this will play out as well, maybe...I'll catch the encore on Thursday night and find out for myself.

Happy New Years! (My Goals for the New Year)
Thursday, December 31, 2009

Happy New Year!
I am really looking forward to 2010, I have a feeling it is going to be a great year. 2009 was not really good to me between money problems, weight gain, health problems and my husband not being home much(due to working out of state) I can not wait for it to be over.
I have been thinking a lot about New Years resolutions.. I tend to set unrealistic goals for myself and by mid- January they kind of go out the window. This year I truly want things to go differently, I have decided that instead of dwelling on my past failures, I am going to concentrate on the future.
By setting realistic goals and sharing them here, maybe just maybe... I will hold myself accountable and stay on track.
Personal Goal #1 Spend more quality time with family.
Sure I spend time with my husband and kids but is that time really quality. We watch movies, play games and like to have fun but I can not remember the last time we have all sit down to talk. I never really had that time with my own parents and now that they have both passed, I never will. I do not want that for my kids.
Personal Goal #2 Living healthier and shedding a few unwanted nor needed pounds.
Diets do not work for me, I always end up feeling deprived and give in. This year I am going to go about it differently.. I will start by making small changes in my eating and physical activity habits that I can actually keep up with. I usually say I want to lose a set number of pounds a month. This year I am not going to do that instead my goal is to weigh less than what I did the month before.. even if it is just a pound or two.
Personal Goal #3 Cutting cost and saving money
For years, I have clipped coupons and such to save money. This year not so much, we splurged a lot on things that were not needed or that we could have made ourselves for less. This year, I will drag out my old coupon binder and put it to use.
Personal goal #4 continue my education
This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, I am not getting any younger and it is time to stop playing around. This is probably the most unrealistic goal I have set, We will be moving in August and have not really decided where. Even if I do not make it back into school this year, I need to do something.
Now that I have covered my personal goals it is time to move on to my blogging goals. While I may never have the best looking, most interesting blog in the blogosphere I can do my best.
Blogging Goal #1 Write at least one personal post per week (starting with this one)
Sure ...I have done my share of reviews, where I give you a small glimpse into my life, that is not what I am talking about. I am talking about the details, who we are as a family, what I believe in. Now I am not talking every little detail, I am really not that interesting.. I will not bore you with what I had for breakfast (else it was really yummy and worth sharing) nor what color shirt I may be wearing etc.
Blogging goal #2 Posting at least 3 times a week
I have been horrible at updating my blog especially lately. I started a new job and the time that I have to spend online has dramatically decreased. I need to do some adjusting and get myself back on track.
Blogging goal #3 Establishing readership and friendships
This goal really goes hand in hand with my last two goals. I do not just want to just write reviews, host contests and such. I want you to know that I appreciate all of you and if ever you need a someone to talk to.. I am just an email away.
What are your New Years resolutions? I would love to hear!

Is it bad that I'm itching to get out the Christmas decorations and it isn't even Halloween?
Friday, October 30, 2009

It seems as if last Christmas was just a few months back, yet I am eagerly awaiting for it to come this year. Maybe it is because, I have a shed full of brand new decorations or the anticipation of the cheer the holiday brings to my children, I'm not sure. The one thing I know for sure is that for me, Christmas is a time of Celebration, spending time with our families, and giving.
If you're like me and looking for some great ideas for Christmas this year. I suggest on making a visit to Hula Hooping Mom's 2009 Holiday gift guide. She is a mother of four that has children ranging in ages from 5-14, so she has reviews for all ages. To me that is great, My children are not so little and it is hard finding information on new products for the older children. Her reviews this week include the Kidorable Umbrella, SodaStream Machine,I-Carly Remote,Hasbro Nerf Football, Groovy Plate.
