Happy New Year!
I am really looking forward to 2010, I have a feeling it is going to be a great year. 2009 was not really good to me between money problems, weight gain, health problems and my husband not being home much(due to working out of state) I can not wait for it to be over.
I have been thinking a lot about New Years resolutions.. I tend to set unrealistic goals for myself and by mid- January they kind of go out the window. This year I truly want things to go differently, I have decided that instead of dwelling on my past failures, I am going to concentrate on the future.
By setting realistic goals and sharing them here, maybe just maybe... I will hold myself accountable and stay on track.
Personal Goal #1 Spend more quality time with family.
Sure I spend time with my husband and kids but is that time really quality. We watch movies, play games and like to have fun but I can not remember the last time we have all sit down to talk. I never really had that time with my own parents and now that they have both passed, I never will. I do not want that for my kids.
Personal Goal #2 Living healthier and shedding a few unwanted nor needed pounds.
Diets do not work for me, I always end up feeling deprived and give in. This year I am going to go about it differently.. I will start by making small changes in my eating and physical activity habits that I can actually keep up with. I usually say I want to lose a set number of pounds a month. This year I am not going to do that instead my goal is to weigh less than what I did the month before.. even if it is just a pound or two.
Personal Goal #3 Cutting cost and saving money
For years, I have clipped coupons and such to save money. This year not so much, we splurged a lot on things that were not needed or that we could have made ourselves for less. This year, I will drag out my old coupon binder and put it to use.
Personal goal #4 continue my education
This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, I am not getting any younger and it is time to stop playing around. This is probably the most unrealistic goal I have set, We will be moving in August and have not really decided where. Even if I do not make it back into school this year, I need to do something.
Now that I have covered my personal goals it is time to move on to my blogging goals. While I may never have the best looking, most interesting blog in the blogosphere I can do my best.
Blogging Goal #1 Write at least one personal post per week (starting with this one)
Sure ...I have done my share of reviews, where I give you a small glimpse into my life, that is not what I am talking about. I am talking about the details, who we are as a family, what I believe in. Now I am not talking every little detail, I am really not that interesting.. I will not bore you with what I had for breakfast (else it was really yummy and worth sharing) nor what color shirt I may be wearing etc.
Blogging goal #2 Posting at least 3 times a week
I have been horrible at updating my blog especially lately. I started a new job and the time that I have to spend online has dramatically decreased. I need to do some adjusting and get myself back on track.
Blogging goal #3 Establishing readership and friendships
This goal really goes hand in hand with my last two goals. I do not just want to just write reviews, host contests and such. I want you to know that I appreciate all of you and if ever you need a someone to talk to.. I am just an email away.
What are your New Years resolutions? I would love to hear!

Great goals! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to you too mgonyeo!
I like your third goal for your blog, I know having a review/giveaway blog sometimes leaves one with little time to establish blog relationships, I too need to start posting a few more personal posts, to give my blog more of a "personal touch". I can't wait for our spring vacation and then people will likely get sick of my personal posts, when I put up all our pictures haha!
Happy New Year.
Hi Tammy,
I love your blog and can not wait to see all your pictures.
Happy New Year to you too!
