Coppertone CLEARLYSheer Sunscreen

Wednesday, June 25, 2014 2

Recently I was invited to try COPPERTONE  sunscreen for free from Bzzagent. I received both CLEARLYSheer sunscreen lotion  "Sunny Days" and Coppertone continuous spray.

I absolutely adore the continuous spray as it goes on very light, and doesn't feel the slightest bit greasy. The spray application is very convenient and can be applied and reapplied virtually anywhere.

The cream/lotion surprisingly was also not greasy in the slightest, it is very light and leaves skin feeling velvety smooth because of its matte finish. This combined with is being clinically tested to not clog pores makes it great for using under makeup.

Both the continuous spray and clearly sheer sunscreen can be used in water for up to 80 minutes which makes it perfect for a trip to beach, or relaxing by the pool. It has a nice sunny scent, not overly beachy or tropical like most other sunscreens, making it great for everyday use.

* Disclosure: I received both free samples and coupons in order to facilitate this review and pass along to others. Any opinions expressed are purely my own.

Easy and free way to earn Amazon gift cards

Friday, May 9, 2014 0

Complete offers, Earn Points, Redeem for free gift cards!
With InstaGC

InstaGC is a reward site that is 100% free and allows you to earn rewards by completing various activities. offers, and tasks, such as taking a survey or watching videos.   Each point is equivalent to a penny, for example a 25 point offer would be worth a quarter etc. Once you collect 100 points, you then can exchange your points for a $1 gifts card and so forthThere are many gift cards to your chose from, cards to places like Amazon, Walmart, Etsy, Ebay, Gamestop, plus many smaller online shops, or you can always request a check.

Completing offers: InstaGC offers many ways to earn points by completing offers, which we will go over in a few minutes, but theres a few tips that you need to know first.

  • Use 100% real information- Not doing so can result in getting your account banned
  • Do not use your personal email- instead sign up for a free email address.
  • Change email addresses frequently- some advertisers will not pay for an email address that has already completed another offer.
  • Take your time and don’t rush through an offer.
  • Leave the page open for a few minutes after finishing or until it credits- Sometimes they take a while to credit.

Offer types: As I stated a few moments ago, there are several different type of offers, you’ll find them listed below.

  • CPC’s-  Visit a webpage for a few seconds to get an easy point.
  • Video- Use the Watch video link on the homepage/sidebar to see which walls have available videos to watch.
  • Radio- Radio Loyalty, enter a capcha every 10 minutes for 1 point.
  • Downloads- Refer to the download guide on the InstaGC website for information on how to protect your computer, and for tips on getting them to credit.
  • Sign-ups- Many offers only require you to fill out your information, submit and confirm email for credit.
  • Trials- Many trials require a CC card, sign up and register a prepaid card with limited funds in order to protect your bank account/credit card. Make sure to read each individual offer as terms vary.
  • Surveys- Surveys can be a great way to earn a decent chunk of points. They are usually worth more than the other types of offers, but are hit and miss when it comes to crediting. You have to go into them expecting them to not credit but praying to the survey gods that they do.

Completing tasks

Completing tasks can be a fun way to earn a few extra points, they require some work but are (in my opinion) the most reliable when it comes to payout. A lot of people enjoy them because the normally don't ask you for personal information. There are currently three walls that offer tasks, Crowdflower, InstaGC and Matomy, these can be found under the heading complete tasks on the sidebar.

  • Crowdflower- Crowdflower usually has many types of tasks available at a time ranging from very simple, to extremely difficult. They provide you with a set of instructions after clicking on the task listing. Complete each task by carefully following directions to get points, you never know when they will throw in a test question to make sure you are following directions, Fail too many and you’ll be expelled from that task.

  • InstaGC-  The InstaGC wall often offers a few easy tasks, such as writing a blog post, inviting friends, sharing a reward redemption post on social media etc. These task usually take a little while to credit. This is because they are confirming that you followed directions before crediting your account.

  • Montomy- The Matomy wall occasionally offers tasks through the Crowdflower website. These are usually different from the Crowdflower wall itself.

ZipBins Giveaway!

Friday, December 3, 2010 64

If you've never stopped on a Lego, believe me when I tell you that it is something that you never want to do. It seems if my kids leave a single lego anywhere in my house my feet will find a way to step on it. It's not a fun experience at all.

If you are wondering why I am telling you all about my Lego woes today, it's because I recently learned about a new product called ZipBins. Zip Bins are play mats that zip into storage containers.  They were designed by a mom and son who came up with the idea “What if Max’s toy bin unzipped to a play mat and zipped back up, capturing his toys?” That is exactly what ZipBin does.

Zip Bins come in many varieties, Hot Wheels, Lego's, Plastic dinosaurs and dolls to name just a few. I must tell you that I was at Toys R Us Friday and these things were flying off the shelf, I went back on Monday and they were already out of the Lego and Hot Wheels Zip Bin Products

Luckily for me, I was sent the Hot Wheels ZipBin Tool Box in order to review... and I must admit that I am impressed. The Hot Wheels ZipBin Tool Box is a tote, shaped like a mechanic's tool box.  It is a soft sided case that unzips into a work shop garage for tuning cars.  It easily can hold 50 cars and plenty of tracks. This may sound silly, but what I really like is that there is a car included. I know I can purchase them for 99 cents at the store but I like that I don't have too.

Since they are portable, they can easily travel with your child almost anywhere. It would be perfect for the overnight trip to Grandma's or on your family vacations.

ZipBins can be purchased online at glammatoys.com, with prices starting around $9.00.

To enter to win, a ZipBin... please answer the following question by leaving a comment below.

Piggy Paint Giveaway!

Last year I had the opportunity to review Piggy Paint for my niece, she fell in love with it right away. So, when given the chance to host a review/giveaway for Piggy Paint Project Earth I jumped right on board.

Piggy Paint's "Project Earth” nail polishes are formulated for tweens concerned about Mother Earth.

They come in 6 fun colors with equally fun names such as Solar power, Drama ,Eat Your Peace, The Boyfriend Blues, lol and radioactive.

We were sent Project Earth LOL  and Radioactive in order to review LOL is a fun & bright Neon Magenta color that I'm sure my niece will love!

Radioactive is usually not a word that I would associate with eco-friendly and natural products but  in my opinion it is really cool.  It is almost a translucent color that glows in the dark; It can be used alone or added as a top coat. Since, I will not have the chance to see my niece until Monday, I decided I had to give this one a try for myself and it really does glow.

Piggy Paint would make perfect stocking stuffers for the young ladies on your shopping list this season. You can Purchase Piggy Paint online at PiggyPaint.com! Enter the code ABITS10L at checkout for an additional 10% any item in their store. (Including sale items)

My Petting zoo- Part 1

Monday, October 4, 2010 2
Since making the move to the country our family size has increased dramatically... We have a new pony, new bunny, 4 goats and countless roosters and chickens in addition to my Mil's three dogs and 3 cats. Since we have our own little petting zoo forming, I thought it would be fun to introduce you to the bunch.

One of our newest additions is Diamond.

She's an 8 month old beagle puppy and while she looks all sweet and innocent don't let the picture fool you, she's my little monster. Her favorite things are chewing, napping, chewing, howling, chewing, giving big wet kisses... oh didn't I mention she loves to chew on things. She'll chew on anything that she is not suppose too, her toys go untouched.

Last Tuesday Diamond decided I needed to go for a little run, though our 5 acres, through the farmers cornfield into the woods in the cold drizzling rain. I must have been chasing her for over an hour (not an easy task with a broken foot) when I finally gave up. She must have noticed that I was no longer on her trail and decided she better get home because about a 10 minutes later she was scratching at the door to get in.

Later that night, I started developing a sore throat and it's been downhill ever since. I have spent most of the weekend in bed battling a nasty cold and horrendous cough. I'm feeling a little better today but hopefully she will not take me on another adventure anytime soon.

Oh where or where have you been?

Monday, September 20, 2010 8
As many of you may have noticed my blog has lied dormant for nearly 4 months, without even a mention as to why. It was never my plan for this to happen, I was truly overwhelmed with my life and I let the blog go to the wayside. Between taking care of my family, working a full time job, I just couldn't keep up here. When I first started pulling away, I kept telling myself I will post tomorrow. Tomorrow never came... finally the day has come and I am back better than ever.

Over the last few months my family has gone through many changes, some good others not so good but we have survived. You may remember me telling you that my husband was working over 200 miles away and I was basically raising the kids on my own. We had to make the choice to stay in Indiana where my husband couldn't find work or to move to Michigan  where he had a full time job. It was a hard decision to make but we had to go where the money is.

It has been a little rough adjusting to the country life, I like to get up and go. When the closest gas station is 20 minutes away it is a little harder to do that. Having my family under one roof at night is the biggest payoff, it's what truly matters.

Schools out!

Sunday, May 30, 2010 11
It has been a hectic week, the boys were in the newspaper for participating in their first walkathon.  Them  my aunt passed away and I had to make the long car ride up to Michigan all by myself. It wouldn't have been too bad if I had AC in the car or if it hadn't been 95 degrees.

I was a little upset that the kids could have came it had been a really long time since we seen my family... almost 5 years.  I really couldn't pull them out of school their last week though; They would have missed their last field trip, field day, honors day and 5th grade graduation.

Now that schools is out and Summer has (non)officially began, things should calm down a little and I should have more time for blogging and my Farmville addiction!

I am hoping to make it to Holiday world this summer they suppose to have an awesome water slide but I am not sure that I can get the time off work. What are your plans for Summer?

Grill Daddy Giveaway

Thursday, May 20, 2010 53
Grill Daddy

The Grill Daddy  is a steam powered grill-cleaning tool that sanitizes grills and eliminates the burnt on food, grease and dirt. Cleaning grills can be a difficult and time-consuming task but the alternative is far worse. Unwashed racks can house bacteria that could contaminate food and leave an unsanitary and bad taste.

Utilizing specially designed stainless-steel brushes, the Grill Daddy releases water as users brush, hitting the grill and turning to steam while rinsing away unsanitary debris.

Grill Daddy

Other features:
· Steam-powered
· No rancid greasy residue builds up on the brush (liquefies and melts it away)
· Safe for porcelain, steel and iron grills (hot or cold)
· Ergonomic handle keeps hands away from heat and provides maximum leverage

To be honest I am not one that likes to grill, the flames scare me... so I handed this one off to my husband the self aclaimed BBQ king. We or I should say he grills out several times a week even in the snow, so there was quite a bit of build-up that his everday scrapping had left behind.  I had my doubts that the grill daddy would be able to remove all the crud that was stuck in between the grates but with a little patience he was able to get it all cleaned out and looking good.

In my opinion the Grill daddy would make a wonderful gift, (Think Father's day) and can be purchased online for $19.95 at Grilldaddy.net

Win it!

Journal Buddies Giveaway!

Wednesday, May 5, 2010 7

A couple months back I came across Journal Buddies online and the concept really appealed to me. We all want our children to grow up to be happy, confident, self sufficient adults; Building strong self esteem when they are young plays a significant role in how they will feel about themselves later in life.

Since my oldest son D has always been the quiet type and is not one to wear his feelings on his sleeve, I really felt that this was something that could benefit him. I contacted Jill Schoenberg, the creator of Journal Buddies for boys and Journal buddies for girls and she graciously agreed to send me a journal for us to review.  Writing in his journal has been a great way for him to express his self and something he seems to really enjoy.

What I really like about this journal and what makes it unique is that it isn't just a blank slate; it is designed to be interactive promoting fun and creative writing with many fun activities along the way.

In my opinion Journal buddies would be a great tool for any child to improve their self- worth, while also learning better writing skills and would be a great addition to any classroom as well as at home.

Silk Pure Almond Giveaway!

Tuesday, April 27, 2010 40

When I was contacted by silk to do a review for the new Silk Pure Almond, I was very eager to give it a try.  Unfortunately, I have not been able to find it in my local stores.

Each glass of Silk Pure Almond™ milk provides an excellent source of natural antioxidants, and as much calcium and vitamin D as dairy milk, with  no cholesterol, saturated fat, dairy or soy. Each serving of Silk Pure Almond Original almond milk is only 60 calories, with Vanilla being just 90.

Almonds are recognized by health professionals as a nutritious addition to a healthy diet. A serving of almonds provides an excellent source of vitamin E (a natural antioxidant), and a good source of protein and fiber. In fact, almonds are higher in protein and fiber than any other tree nut. Plus, they're naturally low in saturated fat and cholesterol-free.

Vitamin E is an important antioxidant that has been studied for its role in supporting normal heart and brain function, as well as promoting a healthy complexion. Each serving of Silk Pure Almond provides an impressive 50% of the recommended daily value of this essential nutrient. To make sure your diet includes the full spectrum of beneficial antioxidants, pile on plenty of colorful produce in addition to healthy staples like almondmilk.

Benefits of Almonds:

· Splash almondmilk on your favorite cereal. Good morning, antioxidants!

· Have you tried an almondmilk latte? Prepare to get hooked.

· Whirl up a smoothie with Silk Pure Almond and your favorite fruit. (Throw in a handful of crushed almonds if you’re feeling extra nutty.)

· Almondmilk cooks and bakes to perfection, and can be substituted for milk in many recipes. Discover soups, cakes, muffins and more – with fewer calories than you’d think.

Review

Yogurt doesn't last very long in our house, the kids gobble it right up and YoCrunch was no exception. We had the opportunity to try the Strawberry with granola crunch and the kids loved it, I am usually very picky when it comes to yogurt but I must say that I also found it very good.  The smooth creaminess of the yougurt combined wuth the crunchy granola was a fantastic combination and contrasted perfectly.  With only 100 calories this great tasting snack is also very healthy which always is a big plus.
