My Boys love pirates, while I have really never fully understand the fascination with them, they inspire their imaginations and creative play.Maybe it is their adventurous nature or their treasure hunting skills, that make pirates appealing to kids, I am not sure.

William Gilkerson is a sailor, painter, journalist, and historian. He is the author of ten nonfiction books on nautical topics as well as works of satire, art commentary, and fiction. His two-volume treatise on the development of ship’s weapons, Boarders Away, is a standard text. His drawings, watercolors, and oils have been featured in several major exhibitions and have been reproduced in books, magazines, and on film. William Gilkerson lives in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia.

A Thousand Years of Pirates would make a good gift for anyone who is interested in learning all about the infamous pirates in history, it contains a treasure trove full of historical information. At times we did consider it be too educational though, reading more like a textbook than a Children's book.

In my opinion the book cover  is absolutely gorgeous and the silver gilded book edges stunning, it would look great as a coffee table book. Not only is the exterior beautiful the inside is as well with several beautiful illustrations throughout.

Challenge & Fun- Tinti Bathwater Colors

My children love taking baths; I swear they would live in the tub if I let them. Therefore, when Challenge & Fun offered me a chance to review Tinti Bathwater Colors for my children, I could not pass up the opportunity.

When the box arrived they immediately began annoying me begging for their bath, they couldn't wait to try out these little tub tints. I finally caved in and granted them their request.

We decided to go with the blue tablet, when we dropped it into the tub it began to bubble and fizz, it slowly begun to change the water a shade of blue. They must have stayed in the tub for at least 45 minutes and the color stayed fresh and didn't fade.

I have had the pleasure of trying two fabulous, eco-friendly products from ecostore USA recently. I love the fact that all their products are all natural and contain "No Nasty Chemicals", matter of fact that is the ecostore philosophy and the foundation of their entire product line.

The first product I used was the liquid laundry. I was a little taken back by the small awkward bottle at first, but after reading the directions, I could see why. With my regular laundry soap, I need a full cup to get my laundry clean, With Liquid laundry it only takes    2-3  tbsp. due to it being heavily concentrated.

The scent is light and fresh, and smelled slightly of citrus, unlike the heavily perfumed laundry detergent, I am accustomed to. Which makes this product great for those of us with sensitive skin. Overall, I was quite pleased with liquid laundry my clothes came out of the washer, fresh and clean.

Liquid Laundry is composed of "100% certified organic eucalyptus oil and other plant based products." Which can be easily found on their website.

I also had the opportunity to try the Pure Oxygen Whitener, the first thing I noticed that like the laundry liquid it had a light, fresh citrus scent. My husband is a mechanic that comes home with nasty, smelly socks, I have tried many products to try to get the oil stains out, to no avail. I decided that these nasty little things would be the ultimate test.

I left the laundry soaking in the whitener overnight and seen a huge improvement in brightness. While it did not necessarily take all of the motor oil stains out of my husbands socks, nothing really had in the past either. In my opinion this whitener works as good as the leading brands, without the mess.

Crazy Dog T-Shirts Review and *Giveaway*

My Husband loves t-shirts, especially ones with cool graphics and funny sayings, matter of fact he has a whole dresser devoted to them. When I received the chance to review a Crazy Dog T-Shirts. I knew that the tee would be for him.

I had him go to the website and pick out his favorite shirt, which proved to be no easy task. He ending up spending over a hour on the site and narrowed it down to about 30 , he could not pick just one. I ended up having to choose his shirt myself.

I ended up choosing the Evil Monkey Family Guy t-shirt , and when it arrived he  immediately begun ripping it out of the package. He was like a kid on Christmas morning, I swear. We were both surprised by the quality of the t-shirt, it was super soft, but thicker than most t-shirts he owns and not thin or flimsy. It has also held up very well in the wash, with no obvious signs of fading on either the shirt or graphic. We will definitely be purchasing more shirts in the near future.

     HabitWise is making Healthy a habit,with lifestyle friendly habit plans.

HabitWise has created a full line of habit inspiring products for women, men and children in the areas of weight management, disease management, water intake, fitness and more. Each system has a habit plan that was written by a team from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The plans are pretty simple to follow, you receive a certain number of bracelets that you place on one wrist and when you complete a certain goal you move a Bracelet to your other wrist.

For example, I chose the get LOSS plan, I place 30 bracelets on one wrist in the morning when I wake up,  each time I eat 50 calories I move 1 bracelet to my other wrist. Once all my bracelets are gone, I am done for the day.  Sound simple enough? Well it is!

"get LOSS is a habit development system designed by medical professionals that helps you monitor the habits necessary to achieve healthy weight loss. The also have get WET for women which is a habit development system that helps you monitor the habits necessary to increase water intake. Use the guide and bracelet collection to track your daily glasses, ounces  the recommended intake and goals.

 

Directions for Use: Self-care begins each morning by placing your bracelet collection on one wrist. With every serving throughout the day, simply shift the appropriate quantity of bracelets to your other wrist.
One wrist shows goals for the day, the other tracks your accomplishments.
