I can remember when I was younger my parents always complaining about the fact that everything was becoming electronic and that toys were not the same as when they were growing up... I never understood why it was such a big deal until I had children myself.
While I really do not have a problem with electronics in all honesty I couldn't go a day without them... going back to the basics can really help spark a child's imagination. I am glad that companies are starting to take notice and realizing that a toy doesn't have to be made of plastic nor run on batteries for kids to enjoy.

We recently had the chance to review the Mighty Builders Tow Truck Model Kit by Melissa & Doug from Gifted Imaginations. I really liked the idea of the tow truck as soon as I seen it and the kids couldn't wait for it to get here so that they could build it themselves, they were not disappointed.

Our Review
It arrived in a nice wooden box with many pieces to build and included very clear and simple instructions with pictures. They had a little trouble putting some of the parts together because the screw holes were not quite big enough but overall they had fun taking turns screwing in the pieces. When they were done it looked great and they were very proud that they built it by themselves. (With a little help from Mom)In my opinion the Mighty Builder Tow Truck would make a great gift for an older child that likes to build or younger children with a little help from an adult.
