Mavea- Filtered Water Pitcher Giveaway

Friday, March 12, 2010
Looking for a way to get clearer, cleaner, great-tasting water without having to purchase it from the store?

Over the last month I have had the opportunity to review the MAVEA Elemaris water pitcher in my home and it has been a great solution for families picky water drinking ways.

"MAVEA integrates the highest quality materials with intelligent design and a revolutionary recycling program that helps sustain healthy lives and a healthy planet."  It's distinctive sleek European style looks great and fits nicely in your fridge.

"No pre-soaking is required to activate the filters. The filter media is treated with silver to inhibit the growth of bacteria. Micro-screen in the filter reduces black particle release into the pitcher. "

One of my favorite features is the unique pour through lid which makes it easy to fill all you have to do is turn on the tap and hold the pitcher under it. The flow from the water opens the lid and it closes automatically when it is full.

Another nice feature is the MAVEA Smart Meter which measures water hardness, water volume and the length of time the filter is in use. "The Meter takes the guess work out of knowing when to replace your filter."

I was concerned about all the BPA in the plastics that we where consuming when drinking bottled water, but detest the taste of  tapwater so much that I could not give it up.. We had used other pitchers in the past that always had black floating particles in it, that to say the least weren't too appealing.

The Elemaris is made from BPA free plastic and not only is the taste of the water very clean, it is clean. I will know longer have to buy cases of water every month, saving me money while reducing the waste from the plastic bottles.

We have been pleased with the Mavea Elemaris and I would definitely reccomend it over the other pitchers we had used previously.  The price of the unit is very fair comparable with similar products and can be purchased online at Amazon for $31.99

I would love the water system in my house if just for the reason I am always wanting cold water during the summer months especially but all through the year.
Also my sister is now 8 years out from cancer but she had a hard time of the year of chemo and radiation and transplant and I have had a serious illness with DVT and I am interested in keeping my family healthy.

I have well water which sometimes has off tastes from minerals. I would love this because it has the microscreen filter which would keep small particles out, unlike other charcoal filters.

i live in southern california and value my life. You just dont drink the tap water here. I have been forced to buy water bottles and I am totally not being eco friendly but it is either that or certain death by poisoned tap water. :: gag ::

Plus the pitcher looks awesome. Almost like a kitchen accessory!

For one, I don't trust our city water. It smells and tastes odd. Being I drink 100+ oz of water per day, I need clean water for my body. And I OF COURSE want clean water to give to my children and to put in our foods when necessary.

THANK YOU! alisonad23 at gmail dot com

Last year for both economical and environmental (and now it turns out healthwise as well)reasons we gave up bottled water and are both proud of and happy with our decision. However, we still miss water that TASTES good!

I'd love to try Mavea' Filtered Water Pitcher - it would be a very welcome addition to our home.

Our local water just had some really poor test results come out in the media. The water company says some water filter company paid for the tests and it's really not that bad, but I'm not taking any chances. We've been drinking purified water for years, but we'd love to save the money and be more environmentally friendly by using filters.
